Setup

How to connect

Midnight Snack Survival is a whitelist server. Request access on Discord first, then set up Java 1.21.1 and Cobblemon 1.7.3 on Fabric below.

Server access (whitelist required)

Before you can connect in Minecraft, a staff member must approve your whitelist request. See our whitelist guide for full details.

  1. Join our Discord server.
  2. Click the verify button to unlock the community channels.
  3. Run /requestwhitelist <your Minecraft username> in Discord.
  4. Wait for a staff member to approve your request. This may take some time.
  5. Once approved, continue with mod setup and adding the server below.

Before you start

  • Minecraft Java 1.21.1
  • Fabric loader
  • Cobblemon 1.7.3 (Fabric build)
  • Fabric API (only if you install mods by hand)
Option A

Modrinth (easiest)

If you don’t feel like digging through folders, use Modrinth or CurseForge. Either works.

  1. Install the Modrinth App (or CurseForge, if you already use that).
  2. Make a 1.21.1 profile with the Fabric loader.
  3. Hit “Add Mods”, search Cobblemon, install 1.7.3.
  4. Worth adding Sodium and Lithium while you’re there. Optional but your FPS will thank you.
  5. Launch the profile.
Option B

Manual (vanilla launcher)

For people who stick with the normal Minecraft launcher and manage mods themselves.

  1. Install Fabric Loader for 1.21.1 from the Fabric site.
  2. Download Cobblemon 1.7.3 (Fabric) and Fabric API.
  3. Open your mods folder.
    • On Windows, press Win + R, then %appdata%\.minecraft\mods
    • On Mac, use ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/mods
  4. Drop both .jar files in there.
  5. Open the launcher, pick the Fabric profile, hit play.

Adding the server

Once Cobblemon is actually loading (you’ll see it in the mod list on the title screen).

  1. Go to Multiplayer.
  2. Add Server.
  3. Name it whatever. The server address is
    mc.midnightsnacksurvival.com
  4. Save it and join once you’re whitelisted. If you haven’t been approved yet, the connection will fail. First time in you’ll get sent to the hub spawn.
