3. Why We Collect Your Data (Our Lawful Basis)

Under the GDPR, we must have a legal reason to process your data. We rely on the following bases:

  • Contractual Necessity: We need your IP address and UUID to physically connect you to the server and save your inventory.
  • Legitimate Interest: We log your IP address, chat history, and in-game actions to maintain server stability, prevent fraud/cheating (such as item duplication or hacking), enforce our server rules, and protect our community from griefing and harassment.

4. How Long We Keep Your Data

We only keep your data for as long as it is necessary for the purposes listed above:

  • Standard Game Logs: Chat logs and block interaction logs are routinely purged and kept for a maximum of 6 months.
  • Active Player Data: Your player profile, inventory, and economy balances are kept as long as your account is active on the server.
  • Ban Records: If you are permanently banned for violating server rules (e.g., hacking, duping, severe harassment), your UUID and IP address are retained permanently on our security ban list under Legitimate Interest to prevent you from circumventing the ban.

5. Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell your personal data. We only share it with trusted third-party services that help us run the server:

  • Community Platform: Discord, if you choose to interact with our community channels.
