Shiny Guard

Get notified when shinies spawn nearby and unlock them for the whole server.

What it is

Shiny Guard stops heartbreak. When a wild shiny spawns, the nearest player within 128 blocks gets a private alert and a temporary lock. Others cannot battle, catch, or hurt that shiny until you unlock it.

Normal flow

  1. A shiny spawns near you.
  2. You get a private message and the Pokémon glows with your lock.
  3. Catch it yourself, or run /shinyguard unlock to announce it server-wide and let anyone try.

If nobody is nearby, the shiny may announce globally right away. Locks also expire after a timeout with a public announcement. Respawn cooldown after a missed shiny is 10 minutes.

Tips

  • Unlock before you walk away if you want the public shiny callout and map marker.
  • Community Day spawns tagged cday_spawn skip shiny guard logic during events.
